An Evening of Music from Spain and Latin America with Dan Garcia

An Evening of Music from Spain and Latin America with Dan Garcia In-Person

Classical guitarist Dan Garcia is back for another wonderful evening of Spanish and Latin American music on Wednesday, September 17, at 7 pm, on the Green (the central carpeted area), Youth Services Department, Radcliffe Building, Perrot Memorial Library. The concert is a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Dan Garcia is a New York City freelance guitarist, producer, composer, and educator. A native of Madrid, Spain, Daniel holds a master's degree in classical guitar performance from the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati, and he is a professor of music at Manhattan University. Dan is an active classical guitar performer and an integral part of the New York City Latin and world music scene.

Dan specializes in the music of his home country, Spain, as well as the beautiful music of Latin America. His recital takes the audience from the Renaissance period through the 21st century, featuring composers such as Villa-Lobos, Manuel Ponce, Francisco Tárrega, Isaac Albéniz, Agustín Barrios, and many more. Dan’s guitar playing is energetic and captivating; audiences are engaged by his sensitivity and musicianship.
