Crafting Connections- Chemo Port Pillows for Stamford Hospital In-Person
Give back to the community by hand-making items to donate to charitable organizations. We will sign off on volunteer time for you if needed!
On 2/26, we will be making chemo port pillows to donate to Stamford Hospital. Chemotherapy port pillows are distributed to patients who are going through chemotherapy
treatment and have a portacath placed beneath their skin. The pillow attaches to a seat belt to provide cushioning between the port and the seat belt, making car rides more comfortable.
For ages 9-12. Kids age 5-8 may also attend, but must be accompanied by an adult helper. Registration strongly encouraged-- spaces are limited. Please register ONLY the child who is attending. There is no need to register the adult helper (if applicable).
Please note– you must sign up separately for each meeting of this program.
