SUMMARY:Africa Is Me! An Interactive African Drum & Dance Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In honor of Black History Month\, the Perrot Memorial Library 
 is thrilled to present "Africa Is Me! An Interactive African Drum & Dance 
 Workshop\," given by Keepers of the Culture Performing Arts Company. The 
 workshop will take place on Sunday\, February 1\, from 2-3 pm on the Green 
 (the central carpeted area)\, Youth Services Department\, Radcliffe 
 Children's Library. Adults and families with school-age children are 
 invited to attend.\n\nThe workshop will include live African drumming and 
 drum circle with 15-20 drums provided\, live African dancing with a mini 
 dance class\, call and response songs\, and Black and African historical 
 information shared by Dr. Hanan Hameen\, Ed.D.\, an academic scholar\, in 
 relation to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence\, 
 world history\, and the Artsucation Curriculum. Group members include 
 dancers\, drummers\, assistants\, and administrative staff.\n\nRegistration
